- the Irreputable Starving Child

adjustment to anything is harder than it seems. we pretend that we know exactly what we are doing, and hopefully after a while we do... The hardest part of all is the induction into a new society. Social standing seems to be everyone's highest priority, yet if we feel that we do not fit in we are apt to become irritable and depressed. self doubt overrides reason and we become hermits in an active community..
one person has the ability to change that. One really is... all that is required. this one person can change our lives, physically, mentally, socially... So many are in denial that our lives have been molded by those around us. Our parents have grafted on us, we have become virtual copies of our friends, our families, and will carry parts of them with us for the rest of our lives. I have parts of me that are nicole, chadly, evan, karin, matt and katie, and i'm sure the list will become unimaginably long. even if now i were to sit here and think about things that i have picked up from others.
is anything we say, do or think actually our own? hasnt the entire life process been prerecorded for us by the millenia of generations before us? Is there anything original left for us....
we are much smaller than we importantly think ourselves to be...
